All right peoples, I need a big favor…. I am going to start my weekend project on Friday, and I need some information… since I have not purchased a owners manual yet, would someone with access to one please look up the following figures

If you don’t know I have a 2001 GSXR 1000.
I need the torque figures for
Rear wheel
The axel nut
The disk brake allen bolts and what color lock tight to use (I would think green)

Front wheel
The front fork pinch bolts
The front Axel bolts.
The caliper mounting bolts
The head stem bolt
And the disk brake allen bolts

If all is successful, I will have some pics Monday morning..

axle nut - 80 ft-lbs
brake disc bolt - 25.5 ft-lbs


front wheel:
axle pinch bolts - 16.5 ft-lbs
axle - 72.5 ft-lbs
brake caliper mount bolts - 18.1 ft-lbs
steering stem nut - 65 ft-lbs
steering stem locknut - 58 ft-lbs
brake disc bolt - 16.5 ft-lbs


use loctite 242 (blue).


these torque specs are for the 750, but the 1000 should be very close if not identical....

I know this post is a little old but I've beene looking for torque specs like this for the 2001-2003 GSXR 600 for a week now and can't find anything.

I need the torque specs for the front and rear wheel removal, so:

Front axle
Fornt axle pinch bolts
Front Brake calaper bolots

Rear axle
Rear brake caliper bolts
Chain slack.

I have to do this today on a buddies bike so any help would be appreciated. I tried to download the manual but the link is broken.
