1.6 60ft time, def lowered. possible regear but i doubt it, seen them running 141 with nothing other than exhaust and gearing here in texas, i have not seen the 05 run yet though. with those r/t's you would have both red lighted here, they use a .500 at the track i go to. good time, looks like you were late on a shift the last 1/8 track though

Yeah the track here is the only track that I have been to that dosen't use the .500 R/T and it took a while to get used to.

that is a .500 tree. .000 is a perfect 500. .219 is a .719 r/t. most nhra tracks have switched over to this style

not bad I hope to get mine to a nine anything even if its a 999 suposed to go on the 28th of this month but im going to road america and cant aford to lose a clutch so dont know if ill go then or wait. I had a honda 954 last year bone stock, stcok hight and all and was running consistant 10.40s and 10.50s and I know this bike is faster though I did fry a clutch on the 954 at the track trying to keep the front end down and still go fast but what can you do its fun so if I can keep the front end down on the 1000 I should be close to nines I hope but damn that was good run I hop I can do the same. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

When I raced, I had to short shift first, then I went WOT in second. If you are seated right the front end won't come up.

...But I was shifting early into second. If I remember right I was shifting out of first at 7-8k rpm. If you shifted later into second I bet the front end would lift.

Thanks I thought that would be the answer, this bike is so powerful I did not want to risk anything, The times I did run another bike it was in a 4th gear roll on.

I did however run the same bike from the line, and smoked him so bad that I did not need to WOT 2nd gear. the bike was an 04 R1 no contest. I won both times

10.06@142.09 very good run.

Thanks again

Yea pisses me off first starts coming up so easily, i think i come up in first second and maybe 3rd from what ive told from people watching my headlight, its only really noticeable for me when i come up real fast in first, scares me and i shut down most the time.... Im going to the track next week....so Ill be posting some newbie K5 owner drag times http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

hey millsi i like that.i would be short shifting at 9000-10000rpm and role the wrottle on gently but for sake of 50 or less bucks use straps.
