They are sending me new linkage with the shock because they say the stock GSXR-1000 linkage has too much rising rate. Ron Williams (Maxton's owner) worked for the JPS Norton F1 Rotary team and designed the frame and suspension for that. They're good, but like any suspension specialist, can only point you in the right direction, they can't work a miracle cure! Their stuff is quality, their shocks are based on Ohlins stuff with in-house custom made parts. Having said all this, they never did get our Honda RS250 handling right! Not the low end shit that is brought into North America, but the classy stuff that competes in Euro with WP and Ohlins. But like Notorious says, shock doesn't equal setup, just like Snap-On tools doesn't guarantee a rebuild. At least you can be comfortable that the guy (Ron Williams) is good and the shock is quality. I do like the fact they try to set it up for my weight and type of riding. Not many people use them in the US. I like trying something different! Ron spent a day with us at Aintree scratching his head wondering what the hell was wrong! He didn't want to let the problem beat him, but he didn't want to do it for free either!
