I wanted to start a thread for people to post their 2005 GSX-R 1000 1/4 mile timeslips or results.
In addition, please post any links to 05 GSX-R 1000 1/4 mile results or road tests found on the web (magazines, forums, etc.) here as well.

Thanks.

155mph is insane!
What was your total cost for all of your mods installed?

oldgixxer

$10,153.15,including tax,engine mods only http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
wheels,rotors,etc another $3,000
the bike only cost me $9,800 http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif

155 is with my 210lb ass riding,I'm sure it'll be closer to 8.60's@160 with a jockey on it http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Since you're not getting much in-put from the stockers, a decent pilot could dispense-out that Vette by 2 seconds and 25mph; that would be 9.8 and 148.

PLEASE post stock timeslips for 05+ 1k's if you have them. =)
I'd really appreciate it.

If you are suggesting that more stock timeslips should be posted for the 05 1k, I agree.

If you are referring to the 06 ZO6 Corvette,
I believe you will see STOCK 10 second timeslips from good drivers with non-runflat tires, mid-low 10's w/ tuning+headers, and low 10's or better when combined with a cam. It's hard to believe unless you've seen with your own eyes what's being done with the LSx cars.

Still, nothing compares to the bike.
Period.

I dunno bout 10's bro...
one of the mags got an 11.7@125mph outta a new '06 Z06, .8 seconds is ALOT too drop, even with drag radials.Too bad they didnt post up there 60' time.
Maybe 11.40's with D/R's,but thats it for a stocker

I was sleeping, just woke up. My bike was strapped, nothing else done, and the temp was around 100 degrees. I haven't been to the track since July. I'm on the right

Hijacking here...but I do believe that you will being seeing some bonestock owners with a 10 sec. slip. It's just going to take a guy that's got some seat time and some really good air and it'll happen. I know that a few ls6 z06's were getting high 11's stock in some great air, and the rags were all getting 12's out of them. Just give it some time.

I met Jamie Furman at a private MIR rental this past November;not only is he a first class drag racer he is also a bike enthusiast& a hell of a nice guy..he was talking to me about all his bikes(and his huge car collection)&how ridiculously quick stock bikes are right off the showroom floor..I still had my temporary paper plates from the dealer on my Busa lol
