1) Full System

2) Power Commander(Custom Map)

3) JSD(Tre Mode)

4) Undertail and Hugger

5) Frame and swingarm sliders

6) A good set of LEATHERS

Do you want modes for looks or performance? What kind of rider are you? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif Do you ride hard? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Are you a Poser? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif These modes won't improve your riding but they will give you a little more punch (the top 3). Remember the 04 1k stock is still a beast and depending on your riding skills a stock 1k can throw your ass faster than a cheap hooker on a friday night. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/SmackBottom.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/ott.gif

dredy2g said it all. Stole it right out of my F***ing head !!! I'm convinced there are members in here who possess mind control and thought-reading capabilities. So watch out -- do not stay here more than a few minutes at a time. These guys are SCARY. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif

And seriously -- that message he posted above says it ALL. Don't do another damned thing to your bike. It'll blow your damn nuts off right out of the box. The Zuke engineers did a great job on it, so son't mess up their work too badly http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

If you search old posts in here, you'll hear about changing the sprockets. I believe going down 2 in the front, up one in the back is what many guys on the 600's will do. But I don't suggest you waste time with that on the 1000. Your bike will ALREADY flip you over on your ass like a Sumo wrestler.

For totally useless things you can do to void your warantee, blow your nuts off, set the bike aflame, and make your bike easily confused with an alien spacecraft, visit my web page -- lots of useless poser stuff there. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

JSD products (http://www.jsdproducts.com/) sell tre mod kits. follow the link to check prices and such.

The tre mod is explained at this website (http://www.maxlean.com/motorcyclepages/tre.htm) or you can read about it on Bugman's (http://www.81x.com/bugman/gixxermods) website. The link to Bugman's website should take you straight there. If it doesn't just look on the left and side and click the link for "resistors/tre"
Hope that helps http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

THanks for the info. I have one more question for you though. What JDS system do i need??? I dont understand the resistor part do i just buy the whole kit or do i get the one with the 6.8 ohm resistor??

It depends on your comfort level with electronics. If you are comfortable with electronics you can save yourself some money by ordering the kit that you have to fully put together (I.E. jsd-1 kit, jsd-2 kit). If you are not that comfortable with electronics go with the pre built "plug-in-play" model (I.E. jsd-1, jsd-2). You'll also have to decide if you want a switchable unit or not. As far as your 1k goes, you are looking for a 6.8 ohm resistor.
Hope that helps ya

Well, as far as numbers go both the ZX12 and BUSA have the edge I would suggest web cams and that would get you a little closer to those two....I also have 2 buddies with the BUSA and ZX12 and I get the jump on them almost every time but where are you gonna find enough road to run these monsters. Do some track days and or go to the drag strip for some grudge matches http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif with your buddies....If you guys have some decent twisties in your area thats another place you can blow their minds just be safe no matter what you do bro. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/punk.gif

Ya dude off the gate your bike is quicker then the busa, im not to sure about the ZX12(R?), but you have a fast bike. Honestly if this is your first bike.. Sell it, before you seriously hurt yourself. No one should ever start off on a 1000 of higher. People just dont understand how dangerous they are, sure they have speed, but is it really worth it. Infact if this is your first bike i would say sell it, get a old 500 or 600. Learn to ride hard, do wheelies and basically learn how to ride a bike like a mother f*cker. Then you can thing about taking the next step to a 1000. If this is your first bike and you dont believe me, then wait till you get into a sticky situation (most likely in a turn) and watch what happens. Maybe you can keep up with your boys, but you should always ride at your own pace.

is his 1000 quicker then the busa? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif i would not have thought that. i agree with you on starting on a smaller bike. it only takes once to never ride again.

Notice how i said of the gate.. the 1000 is a lighter bike and gets out ahead of the busa quick, around 100 to 150 or so you will see the difference between the busa and it will catch up quick.

I have seen and R1 a GSXR1000 and a Busa race In the beginning id say up to 100 some mph the busa was way behind and the R1 and Gsxr were neck and neck, then around 150 the r1 started to pass the gsxr a little bit and then the busa came flying up. All together i never saw who one the race, but i did see the differences. They raced right past me and I dont know where they finished at.

i have 3 friends i ride with with zx 12s and 4 guys on 04 busas..i have a 04 gixer 1000 with just alittle $70 plug in speed chip..their bikes are all slightly mods..just pipe, power commander ect all the small stuff.....straight aways these bikes run real well but they dont pull away much in the 1/4 if at all...ya know whoever gets the better jump.......but though the twistys , even those other gys agree the 04 gixxer is king of the road!!! by far.......so if ya askin me i dont think ya neeed many mods at alll,,,just work on bein a great rider n not a poser!!!! those 12s r hugh i dont care for them at all ,,like ridin a semi ahhahahaha imo!!! good luck
