Im in need of a new rear tire. I have a 6 inch rim for my 02 750 and would like to put on a 200mm. I know that guys have installed 190 before, but what about the 200mm. Yea, yea I iknow about the handling and things when putting on a larger rear tire. Thats not an issue with me. Just looking for some tech info HELP. The 190 or 200, that is the question ?
180 - one of the main problems with going oversized (apart from the obvious handling issues) is that the bead of the tire will have to be forced into the correct angle in relation to the rim lip... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif Just use the size that the rim is designed for, only :squids: go oversized...
And can you even get proper sport tires in 200?

180 is the stock tire for the 5.5 stock rim of my 750. Having the 6 inch rim from a 1000 rides stock with the 190s. I was at the local shop and the have the 180, 190 and the 200 tire on the shelf right now. All the same make, I think they where even Dunlop 207s. More info PLEASE. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
207s are going out so you would be getting an obsolete surplus tire. For the 6" rim, go for the 190, they are designed to work together http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
