I really wish we would have kept Denis as a back up goalie though. It was a waste to let him go for nothing in the expansion a few years back, he is like a young Roy.

Colorado was so bad about hooking and holding that they're being tested big time by the "new" rules. You may have some more losing on its way before they can adjust and start playing better. There are a couple of other teams that are suffering, too. And that's probably one of the reasons why Minnesota and Tampa Bay are doing well...their players can actually play!

Your saying the Av's are cheap players. Hmmmmmm lemme see here..
Sackic - Future Hall Of Famer. One of the fastest skaters, one of the hardest one timers, one of the best wrist shots, and one of the cleanest players.
Blake- Future Hall Of Famer. Arguably, the best blue liner in the game right now, the hardest hip checker of today.
Forsberg-Arguably the best all around player in the game today. Probably the hardest player to defend against. One of these days he will win the award for most defensive offenceman.
Roy-Future Hall Of Famer- Greatest Goaltender of all time.Enough said lol.
Hedujk (sp) - One of the prettiest players in the game right now. He has some of the best stick and puck control since Gretzky, no he is not nearly as great as Wayne but he moves much like him.
Morris - Only 24 and well on his way to being much like Blake. Has a slapper comparable to Al Macinins (sp)

Now the Av's did perfect hooking to an art but Dallas is just the same. They are both DEFENSIVE teams that think D before anything else.
IMO it is not the penalties, the Av's are not the highest penalized team at all. Thier Power Play has been god awful this season, they are also being "pretty" which pisses me off. Shoot the puck for gods sake, quit passing! lol They are also having a hard time clearing thier zone and getting into the oppositions zone without giving up the puck in the nuetral zone.

(and I HATE Roy...I wish when he skates out and tries hitting players that they would just haul off and hip check him into next YEAR!)
