AA when i was younger then college hockey as of last year (graduated) durring the summer i played in the atlantic league. Basicly it is a tournament over here in jersey that alot of minor league players play in to just tune up. I was impressed i held my own.

Novice - Intermediate for the Kalamazoo Adult Hockey League (KAHL)

Yes, yes, I suck....but it is some of the most fun I've ever had. I didn't pick it up until I was 20. Skated as a kid growing up, but never played all out with full gear. Keeps me sain while not riding in the winter months. I play defense and there is nothing like ripping a slap shot past the golie from the blue line. (or anywhere for that matter)

Cool thing is we got to play in K Wings stadium quite often. (Where the current Dallas Stars graemlins/thumbdown.gif goalie Marty Turco graemlins/thumbup.gif was tearin' it up for their farm club) Although we only had about 10 seats of the few thousand filled. graemlins/thumbup.gif Played a lot in Lawson Arena too, they've always got a nice sheet of ice.

Played hockey up to Midget... then tons of rec league, floor hockey, road hockey, roller hockey... etc. Never good enough to think about a professional career mind you.

I've never played ice hockey but am a HUGE fan!!! I didn't even ice skate my first time until I was 27. I need to rearrange my schedule and take some skating lessons or something and sign up for an adult league. (I have scored a goal into an NHL net (at Reunion Arena, Feb. 14th, 2001, Dallas Stars v. L.A. Kings), though, but that's another story for another time!)

Made it up to the Juniors in Michigan Hockey, 15 and under in a Muskegon league. Then my parents dragged me down to Tennessee about 16 years ago. I played D all my life up North. Quick on my skates with no shot. Moved down South, became a star on my local team in Memphis. Not the greatest team down here, but fun. Still skate some, but knees and shoulders don't handle the stress very well... graemlins/cheers.gif
Glad to have hockey chat...
GO RED WINGS!!! The rest of you can graemlins/flipoff.gif

Sweet. I had the chance to go play in the BCHL (Junior A) this year in Williams Lake, but I decided to stay home since me and my family are close. I Turned 18 this year, so it was really my last chance, I regret not going, but things are comming together here with a new job and everything so I think everything will end up good.

I give you tons of respect for starting and stickin in there, cause adult hockey has such a range of skill, its hard to pick it up. graemlins/thumbup.gif
