ok so i don't know anything about performance mods for a bike...but correct me if im wrong in saying that if you let your engine "breath" more you get better performance. that being said, are there any good intake/header/exhaust combinations that make a good up in boost for a 600cc?

IMO get the exhaust for the sound.
If you want to upgrade performance, tweak the suspension and brakes. For the best performance mod, go to a track day.

Exactly, become a better rider, then do the performance mods http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Power is not a replacement for skill... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
i think these guys have given you the best advice. just remember to put on some tires that will hold with the pace.

These bikes have lots of power on top and more on top is not going to do a street rider much good. You will not feel much if anything in the street range by adding power parts. If you want enough more power that you can feel it you might want to go to a 750 or 1000. The liter bikes have a great deal more to feel at passing speeds and all around riding speeds, plus of course the top end. I am not trying to talk you out of powering up your 600, some people just enjoy more no matter how much is there to start with, but if you have a goal to reach it will probably be cheaper to start over...
