Ok I have a chance to buy a set of forks off a racer. They are gsxr 1000 and have had the traxxon valve work..... Not sure which valves nor the spring rate!
I ride a 2000-03 gsxr 750 with the showa forks, am I better off upgrading my 750 forks then buying these forks?

How much for the 1000 forks? We recently did my buddies 1000 forks with springs and the compression valve. Then we removed his stock rebound valve and put in a stock rebound valve out of my 04 750. It worked pretty good from what I understand.
Stock for stock the 750 forks are generally better. But if they have been worked over I think they even out. Just make sure the spring rate is good or you may have to do work to the 1000 forks anyway.

300 bucks for them.... I emailed the guy at traxxon he claims the 750 forks will work better if you slap in the vlaves.
He claims you wont feel that big a difference from the 750 showa's. I am not sure if hes trying to sell me on to a set of forks or what...

im using 750 forks on my 1K right now. for no other reason than when i bent mine that was what i could come up with quickly
I've worked on both of these forks, and there are difference in the internals, the biggest is the spring itself. The stock 750 spring is much longer, which means they are more progressive and sensitive to the surface of the road. The only thing the showas need in the 750 are higher rate springs, for guys over 160 lbs on the track. On the street, these are perfect forks.

I just threw the 1000 forks on and man they feel good, I raised them slightly a little twichy. So I am going to lift the rear a lil.
