you will more than likely get a much faster response by taking the all caps off, and trying to be a bit more descriptive of the problem, such as what type of hugger etc...

Can I ask why a hugger? Do you not think that with an undertail you get more of a "GP" look? Maybe you do not like the look. Just wondering....Jamie

Actually I agree. The undertail definately gives that gp look, but I think you will eventually ruin it without a hugger...right? what about a chainguard too? Is that really necessary?

As a matter of fact, yeah, I think the chain guard is very useful. You can always spruce it up a bit. But just say you have on frayed pants of wearing tennis shoes and the strings come untied and they happen into the chain...uhoh. The undertail...I have had two on two different bikes. I have not had a single chip on any of them. They are very durable and worth the $180 I forked out. If you'd like to see some pics...I'll send ya some. Best of luck with whatever u choose. Jamie

Love to see some picks. I have an extreme graphics undertail on right now without a hugger and it is getting nicked up pretty badly. I hate the way huggers look, but I may have to get one http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif

i personally think they go very well when they are used in combination, the undertail and hugger. the hugger keeps some of the heat off of your shock, and keeps the dirt off of your undertail. if you get a hugger with a chainguard, it will keep the excess chain lube from spraying all over you and the bike.

as for your question, the brackets should attach to the right side of the s/a, and you use the two mounting holes and hardware from the stock chainguard on the left side.

btw, next time you ask a question, take the caps lock off please.

Sorry I answered a question with a question. I was just curious as to why he would want a hugger. Did mean to step on any toes..Jamie

What about drilling the swing arm? I found an awesome hugger, but it requires drilling the swing arm. is that ok?

it's ok if you drill not more than 1/4, I install one carbon fiber on mine and I do some drilling, now looks bad ass!!
