I'm still running it in but it's faster than the air cooled right now.
This is a serious piece of kit.

14 hp? that has to be one fast little critter. i got a minibike with 3.5 horse on it and it does 40 mph with my 210 ass on it. itll do almost fifty with my little nephew on it though. thats one sweet pocket rocket

I went to go racing tonight on it at the local go cart track in my normal sen heavy mod devision and got banned. This thing was too fast for the track.
Anyway they are lookin into a propert series just for these as there was another two out there tonight.

Repsol they do about 100 kp/h with me on it (95kgs).
My fully worked air cooled gets my fat ass to 86 kilometers per hour and I thought that was fast.

Not cheap to buy though one like the black one will set you back around $2,500.00 AUD and theres about $1,600.00 invested on the silver one as it sits.

I didn't pay that for these though. Ahh the joys of knowing the importer.

Just got motor back from engine builder, 17HP. Here's the updated pics of the bike fabrication. Sending frame out next week to get powdercoated. BUT 14HP on stock wheelbase thats even a little to sick for me. Looks badazz http://www.gixxer.com/uploads/Pictures4_005.jpg

I just got the water cooled one as well just like yours. Are you having alot of problems with it? Does it over heat all the time? Does the coolant come out out of the little tank thats mounted on the handle bars? I ride it for 2 minutes at 3/4 of the speed, and when I stop, it smokes like a fucking semi. Also does your clutch engage at almost full rpms,? (I have thigned the cluch springs already)
As of now I had nothing but problems with it. Air cooled ones are so much better than the water cooled ones, much less problems.

Looks like you're having fun with those! Maybe one of these days I'll get around to trying one out. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I replied to your pm.
But for those who buy these yes they get hot. The clutch engages at 9000 rpm you need to loosen off the clutch springs so the clutch engages earlier. The radiator reserve bottle only needs to be 1/4 full as the level rises and falls with the thermostat opening and closing.
You also need to take all the hoses off and put tape on the ends where the clamps go in order to stop the clamps chewing the hoses to bits.
Also on the bottom hose you need to get some cable ties and tie off the hose away from the exhaust. All in all the air cooled are more reliable but the water cooled is more of a monster.

Thank you . Yes the water cooled ones are much more fun and much more faster, but you have to ranch them more often
