This was a krazy summer, lots of spills. I was there for all three of these crashes, live action !! and the were 2 others I know that crashed this summer but did not see happen, no one was seriouly hurt.

The Zx-6r, was a first gear, came down in a tank slapper, the bike slid into a curb and landed about 5 inches from me.

The 929 was a 2nd gear stand-up, came down into a tank slapper, and thats the result after the bike cart wheeling threw the ditch.

The gixxer 1k was a guy just learning, bought it up in first and landed on its side a few seconds after, the frame sliders did wonders, but there was a hole in the crank case and oil was everywhere.

Why do these two posts ALWAYS show up when someone talks about crashing while stunting. My 03' 600 is mint, and if I wreck it while stunting or whatever, you can bet your ass I am turning that shit in to insurance. Before you bitch about high rates, take a look at your driving record to see why you are paying so much. I pay $23/month for FULL COVERAGE, and that is after a claim (which had nothing to do with stunting). It will drop back down to $18 after next year. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

not all of the insurance rate comes from someone's personal record. the base price of it comes from the vehicle itself. If sportbikes are shown to be in alot of wrecks.. well, you bet your ass the base price for unsuring them will go up. That's why people get mad. because enough people wreck bikes from stunting that it effects us all.

wheely > tankslapper > bike destroyed
wheely > tankslapper > bike destroyed
Wheely > falling on ass > kick ass bike not so kick ass anymore. Hope the engine stopped when the bike hit the ground or else the bike is destroyed

Hmm, maybe you all need to get more powerful bikes that aren't so hard to wheely? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif

What a bunch of http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif

I too agree that is why our insurance rates are so high. I say take that shit to the track use the bike for what it was meant. Shit, this past weekend I was scapping my pegs at LV speedway and that shit felt way better than doing a stupid ass wheelie... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/flipa.gif

I just park my bike in the Garage and look at it, I would hate to raise anybody elses insurance rates by actually riding it.

Hey, don't those guys in Sask have government insurance?

To each his own as far as wheelies go, as long as they were not in traffic. But damn, there is no way in hell I'd be trying to learn how to wheelie for the first time on my brand new GSXR-1000! That color scheme looks too damn good for that nonsense. I'd borrow a friends POS bike to learn on.

http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cry.gif my insurance is high http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cry.gif

suck it up dear god. They bought those bikes, with their own cash and can do as they please with them - they want to make a claim, then let them and if it affects you so badly and money is an issue ... maybe, just maybe you shouldn't be riding and set your priorities straight. I for one am NOT affected at all as I only pay $600/year for FULL COVERAGE. Funny enough, my driving record is the reason why I pay fuck all.

My beef is with the jackasses that stunt/speed through residential neighbourhoods, those are the problem.

Oh and one more thing, save your hypocritical preaching for someone else ... I don't have the time to care. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/sleep.gif
