I was coming home last weekend and I saw this. This dumbass was on his cellphone and tried to turn left off of the road he was on and he missed the road and ran up the wires. Then he opened his door and fell out on his face. I don't think he was drunk. Just stupid. That's why I say there should be a law against talking on the cell and driving. What if a little kid was standing there with his mom waiting to cross the street !!??

Me too Jimmy, but down here it's usually some "Buffy" in an SUV that she has no business driving (H2, Excursion etc) chatting away on the phone about meeting her friends at the mall going 10mph under the speed limit in the fast lane !!! That's why I put air horns on my bike. It gets their attention quick !!!!

That is funny as hell. I think it is safe to say that we all have the problems with cagers talking on cell phones and driving at the same time. Hell, for that matter, there is a couple around here that do it on bikes. I don't get that one.http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Does anyone else wonder how the wires are holding the car up, and what the wires are running to? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Gotta agree with the need for a law against talking and driving nation-wide, but I think it should be taken even further. I think anyone observed doing something stupid by a cop while distracted should be given a fine and have their license yanked until completion of a safe driving course. A friend tried to telll me the other day that it would not be fair to outlaw cellphones while driving, since eating and driving is actually more distracting. To that I have to say, outlaw NOT PAYING ATTENTION while driving, whether it be due to cellphone, eating, reading a map, putting on makeup, reading a book, arguing with your passenger, whatever. And yes, I've seen people driving and doing all those things, sometimes doing several of them at once. It seems far too many people these days see driving as a nuisance that distracts them from eating, rather than a responsibility. When I see someone on the cellphone driving stupid, I often roll up next to them, pull in the clutch, and roll up against the rev limiter. Even with the window up, it makes holding a conversation rather difficult.

over here it is illegal to talk one the phone whilst driving (handsfree devices are ok) you cop a fine and lose points off your licence. its helped but you still see it all too often, i think it needs to be even more strict!
these dumb asses are a public nuisance! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Out here at Camp Pendleton you have to use hand-free cell phones, so either speaker or a ear piece...its soo much easier then holding a phone up to your ear, esp when you have a standard...i think all states should take up that law and only allow hand-free usage of cellphones while driving, and for the rich bitches that get caught talking with one hand on the phone and the other on the wheel i say give them a ticket that puts points on thier license, like wreckless driving or careless...they will figure out how to use a headset if they have to sit through a couple of 8hr driving classes.

I've been thinking about an air horn ever since I started riding just never took the time to do it. How did you mount it? Pics if possible.. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I agree with what you said 100% but this line is so true.

That's just crazy how that car sits up there like that.

damn you roll up next to them and rev your engine? thats not any better then talking on a cell phone. if i was a cop and seen that I would probably give you a ticket befor i gave the other person one.

One night after leaving from a buddies house, I saw a car parked in a tree. A few ambulances and fire trucks around. You really had to be there to see it. I thought I was drinking or something.

Bugman has a good write up on it on his site and he even links you where to buy them. I put them in my tail on the right side attached with tie wraps and the compressor is in the trunk.
