I'm trying to adjust the rebound damping on my rear shock although it seems the screw is stuck tight on the adjuster

Normally the adjusters on suspension parts just turn effortlessly although this one you cannot get to straight on so I'm unsure if the problem is because I can't get the screwdriver to it straight on or if there is someother problem with it http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

Well I will this morning just didn't have anyone available last night...

Was hoping someone on this forum would have adjusted the rear preload on a gixxer at some stage in their lives (well maybe 1 person)

Are you talking about the compression and rebound adjusters or the spring preload?

That's what I though, you lost me with the rear preload comment in one of the posts. One trick I've used is to use a coin. A US dime works pretty good here, not sure what your currency looks like. A thin washer may also be an option for ya. Hope this helps.

Well in the end I went to Suzuki where they had it fixed in about 10 seconds - Just needed clear access to the adjuster so I sat on the bike while they adjusted it...

Turns out it was screwed all the way out so I had the minimum amount of rebound damping and I wonder why I felt like I needed some more lol
