i am having a problem getting my 87 gsxr 1100 started after it is hot when i try it sounds like the batt is dead ( or like a car is out of time ) rotates real slow the only way i can realy get it started is to open the throt. about 1/4 and it will eventuly start if it dont run the batt down buy then actuly it has even started it when it is cold when i pull the choke out it pops thru the carbs about 4 times and then it will start but my real concern is when it is hot
i am open for any suggestions

When those bikes get too hot...they will not kick back over till it cools down!!
When it's not hot how does it start?

I bet you your batterey is low on acid....The older gixxers, like mine, bake their batteries in the summer..a whole lotta heat under there. I replaced my batterey yesterday..it was doing the same thing...

It was the starter the brushes we GONE the only thing there was the metal plate behind them
