have an 87 gsxr 750 and would like to update fairing to something like a 92, anybody know if this is possible or someone who has done it. Along with the front end I especially (first thing) want a more modern tail section and seat, my girl slides into me too much on the old school set up. Help!!

Terry, do you mean Airtech? They have their tornado bodywork visible at their website.

If you get a solo tail you won't have to worry about your girlfriend sliding. She won't even get to go along images/icons/grin.gif

A word of warning I have heard from more people than I care to count that airtech is shit, as for up-dating the looks,
I am in the process of fitting TL1000R body work to my 92 1127, the best way to go is sharkskinz http://www.sharkskinz.com.
i just mounted my tail section with little problems(yeah I know I need to get a new digital camera), the customer service at sharkskinz is great, I called them and told them what I was doing and they shipped me my pieces with no mounting holes, so all I had to do was measure and drill... up dating the front is easy too, try http://www.gravesport.com they make fairing stays if you tell them to math the part for the steering head for your bike to the farinig stay for whatever bike you want it should be between 150-190$ (ductai fairing stays are more cash 180+), that is what I am doing
hope this helped

I'd say it really depends on your ability. I mounted '93 sharkskins on a '92 because I could buy them cheap used. It wasn't hard to do, just some easy brackets to make, but I've been doing fabrication work for years. So think about what you've done in the past...if it was hard to mount a satellite tv dish on your house, then you don't want to do it. If you have some good mechanical ability and understand how to drill and tap well...go for it.
