Wrightwood Classic Auto Show Scheduled for 8/21

Cal-Sportbike is seeking classic, exotic, and rare motorcycles to participate in Wrightwood's Annual Classic Auto Show. The event will take place on Saturday August 21st from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

While the main streets in the center of town will be filled with antique, hot-rod, and classic cars, Cal-Sportbike is seeking bikes of noteworthy design and/or historical interest to display in its front lot to give "cagers" a taste of the beauty and history of motorcycles.

Todd Robinson, proprietor of Cal-Sportbike, says "This event has typically drawn a car-oriented crowd up here to town. With our new location providing a draw for the sport-oriented motorcycle crowd, I felt it was time for us to bring two-wheeled attractions to this event". He continues, "We figure that people who have put time and effort into their classic, race, and exotic bikes will enjoy the opportunity to share their bike with the viewing public, while at the same time enjoying seeing some incredible cars here in town".

A sampling of some bikes being sought for display would include;

Ducati - old 900, Sennas, Superlight, 851/888, Paso
Aprilia - RS250 Biaggi/Chesterfields, RSV Nera, RSV Edwards/Haga
Suzuki - RGV replicas, older "slab side" GSXR
Honda - NSR250 replicas, RC30/45, NR750, CB1000
Yamaha - TZ250 Race bikes, R7
Buell - Early production run or custom bikes
Kawasaki - 80's GPZ models, KZ1000
Moto Guzzi - MGS01, older models
Benelli
Bimota
Britten
Cagiva
BSA
Triumph
MV Agusta
Bultaco
Mondial
Norton
Petronas
Velocette
--- And ANY custom bikes with exotic looks and design are sought. We're not looking for a fancy chrome job or spinners. Truly unique bikes are what we are seeking for the show.

Due to the fact that we have limited space and we must have all bikes in place no later than 9:30 AM it is important for participants to pre-register with Cal-Sportbike to confirm attendance. We will select a maximum of 40 motorcycles for display.

There will be prizes given out for the oldest running bike to attend, the most pristine/concours original bike (of any year), and for the most unique custom bike. And all owners whose bikes are selected for attendance will receive a special show pin.

Interested bike owners should contact Cal-Sportbike via email (please include a JPG photo of your bike with details) at sales@calsportbike.com, or mail a photo with brief description/history and owner contact information to POB 518, Wrightwood, CA 92397.

Is the bike going to be judged or just a display?
I would like to enter my bike in a show where it'll be judged .... and maybe win a trophy http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
