my friend has a 96 750 when we ride i hear a clicking noise by the chain everytime he pulls off could someone help me find the problem the chain is has the proper slack so i have no idea ? thanks for the help

Is he taking off hard or somewhat gently, could be that the rear sprocket is missing teeth and it is the sound of the chain jumping teeth. What type of sprocket is it, i have seen a lot of cheaper sprockets loose teeth like crazy when the bike is used for stunting and the like. I would fist look at the rear sprocket.

i think the rear sprocket has all the teeth but ill double chk

i had a similar problem. turns out that my chain was severly stretched and was contacting the rear sprocket incorrectly. put the bike on a rear stand and see if the wheel spins freely.....mine didn't. I ended up doing a 520 conversion..which not only fixed the problem but improved stad still acceleration http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
