I'm going to strip my 86 750 down this winter.I need to clean the frame & swingarm. Are there any products other then simple green out there to clean aluminum? I don't want to polish it,Im just looking to make it look new again.

I'm pretty sure the frames are clear anodized at the factory. Which is very durable. I clean almost everything with honda pro spray cleaner and polish, but just about anything thats not a harsh cleaner will work. I use carb cleaner on a rag to wipe off the sludge that accumulates around the chain.

SG-100 is good! But,over the years the protective coating over the aluminum might have tarnish a bit,so I dont think You'll get it new again....but,clean is a possibility!

Thanks for the advice,I know it will never look brand new again,I just want to clean it up so it's looking good again. All the body work will get new paint so the frame is getting a good scrubbing.)

brake cleaner will get any grease or crud on aluminum right off.
