Okay I'm at my witts end here, didn't want to do it but looks like I'm gonna. My 750 stuck it's self in gear, actually didn't want to go past third at first, then like an ass I slammed her back down, then took her home and let her sit. Got to reading on here and found it might be the detent star, sure enough that was loose as a goose, swapped her out for the aftermarket bad boy, to a short ride and everything was good, then at the gas station she didn't want to go into neutral, and before I got home she stuck in second, very frustrated I went back to the shift plate, it was still tight, so it looks like I'm going to be dropping the motor, my question is what the hell I'm I looking for when I get into tearing open the bottom end? how will I know if a shift fork is bent, or if the rods they fit on are bent? Anyone know of a good shop that won't rape me to help fix this? I live in Centralia.... please help!
