I have a 07 gixxer 600. I start it up it idles for about 10 seconds then dies. If I give it a little throttle it's fine. I can rev it up fine. But if I let it sit and idle she just quits on me. What gives??? I've got a K&N air filter, jardine gp1 slip on, I removed the exhaust servo and also did the the pair valve mod where you stick the earplugs in the hose on the right side of the air box. I also mixed 92 octane gas with some vp racing fuel I had stored from my old 03 gixxer 600. Could any of this be the problem???? Or something else.

I've had the bike since the end of last summer. Has always idled at 1100-1200. I haven't messed with the idle any. This just started yesterday when I first started her up. I haven't tried riding yet to see if anything else happens but I've read on some other forums guys have the same problem, ride it for awhile and it's fine. But when they start it the next day it does the same crap. It seems to be happening from the cold start. Any suggestions???

Ok, so I rode the bike today. Idle was still the same. Died everytime I came to a stop and let the bike idle. I get home run through the manual doing some trouble shooting. I have a Suzuki code reader, hooked it up to see if it would throw any codes. Came back with none. The bike did start to idle a little longer at around 6-900 rpms. So I turned the idle up to spec which is 1300+\-100 rpms. Turned it off and started it back up. Idled fine. I hope this was the problem. :cheers

How old was the fuel you dumped in it? Was it acting up before dumping that fuel in the tank?

Theoretically, it should be worse when its warmed. On cold starts, RPMs are gonna be slightly higher, and start lowering when it reaches operating temp. Adjust your rpms at idle and you should be fine. Mine idles at 1400.
This is assuming your idle is set too low.
