Please take a look at this pic I took of the rear tire on my 01 600 race bike. It's a Dunlop 208GPa (European made, not American). It was used for one race weekend (NHIS last weekend; 4 races +4 practices w/ tire warmers). If you look where I circled in red, you'll see oval indentations in the tire at the end of the small, outermost grooves. These indentations are about the size of a thumbprint, and are maybe .010 - .020" deep at the most. These indentations occur at the end of every one of those grooves on the left side of the tire. (Tough to see in the pic) I've never seen this before- can any of you guys guess what might be causing this? The tire seemed to be working great. Should I be concerned?

It is not out of the ordinary; but show it to your tire guys at the next outing and see what they say.

looks like the rear is coming up too slow., need to take a click or 2 out of the rear shock...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll definately be showing it to the Dunlop guys @ the next event.

Dave- Why do you think the rear is coming up to slowly? (too much compression damping?) How are you drawing that conclusion?

Could it be cold tearing?
