O.K. what other worthwile mods can I do? Don't have a big budget to work with & I don't really want to pull her apart yet.Any suggestions appreciated.

Dropped 1 tooth on the front already,made a big difference.heaps better.Not convinced of the benefits of the smaller chain though, seen this sort of thing tried on mx bikes with no advantages,but with a weaker chain that stretches more.
