I bought some universal bar ends and thought they would work on my 99 750. Little did I know that the bars are capped!! Please recommend me some bar ends that are cheaper than the stock ones which are priced at about $40. Thanks.

What you must take into consideration, is that the bar ends on the capped bars are also weighted (for a purpose), as they improve corner handling by providing the extra weight on the bars. The after market bar ends i bought are not weighted.

I too went out and bought after market bar ends, and was fucken excited about putting them on, but to no avail, as they don't fit (capped bars). If your current ones are only loosing paint, chroming them looks great, but if they are trashed, buying new ones is the only solution.

If you do buy others, check to see if they are the same sort of weight as your current ones, as this can change the riding feel of your bike.
