Is it possible to place a 2k gix 750 read end on a 97 gix750? Will it require alot of work to mount it to the frame?

I have seen a R1 rear end on a 95 1100. Just wondering if anyone has tried this type of mod. Do want to spend the money and it does not fit or its too much wielding work envolved.

not trying to be an ass but why would you want to do this? the 97 has a nice fat 6" rear rim when the newer has a 5.5"... the swingarms are virtually the same... 97 600's have a 5.5 rear rim if thats what your after......... images/icons/confused.gif

I too am thinking about this kind of mod - you can get a similar rear-end from LP, its a single-seater that looks like the 2K+ one, but fits the SRAD

Kats who have done weird stuff to there gixxers. I like the tail section of the r1 or 2k 750. It might be easier to just purchase the tail and cut it.
