Someone please tell me what "rear sets" are. Also, what is a damn fender eliminator? I get the name but don't see a difference (unless I'm looking in the wrong place). Plus, I am thinkging about selling my '98 750 for 6,000 to buy a '00 750 or tlr. Is that a reasonable price?

rear sets are what yer feet are on!!
a fender deal is a plate that holds yer turn signals and licence plate after you cut the fender away...

Hey bigbro, why did you opt for a 200 on the rear tire? Doesnt the bike turn in kinda slow?

O.K. without starting a riot again images/icons/grin.gif (look on the tl page)our 6" rims are designed to have a 190 or 200 rear tyre(road tyres, not race).I have not or ever will run a 180,you will ride right off the edge if you crank it in corners,as a couple of mates have on their TL's.I have run a 200 pirelli on mine with no noticeable bad effects.Out of interest we've measured a few tyres installed on the correct sized rims.pirelli 200 was 199mm wide,207 190 was 198mm,mich hisport 190 192mm,avon azzaro 190 187mm,(all on 6" rims). The 180 dunlop 207 on my turbo(5.5" rim)is 187mm,the same as the 190 avon on my GSXR.Hugely different measurements on what should be the same sized tyres.(also notice how some of them are given different sizing but are also nearly the same width)Just thought you guys might be interested.(if you're interested the tyre thing on the TL site is labled 'the verdict is in regarding 180 bt010s' or something like that)

Ok I understand what you are saying, but if it were a problem, the tire companys would not tell you to run them. Also, when I put the 180 on the rear of mine (from a 190 to a 180 d207) the bike turned in MUCH faster for me. I have been on the 180 for about 32K miles. I have used 207s, pilots, and now the supercorsas. They all work great and I run on the edge with no problem.. images/icons/grin.gif

i'm not sayin this guy is a squid, but a lot of squids put 190-200 on the back just for the hell of it... i guess they think it goes with the old "bigger is better" philosophy... what they don't know is that it does make the bike turn slower... probably doesn't matter anyway, most squids only go in a straight line images/icons/smile.gif
racers on the track mostly use the 120/180 front/rear tire size combo for the gixxers (from what i've seen)...

Well, I bought the bike from Sportsman Cycles in Feb. and the bike came with this 200 bad boy on the rear. I am about a half of the way down it and wouldn't mind suggestions on different sizes for the next go-around. What do you all think about me selling my bike for $6000 and picking up a '00 750 (as far as a good price to sell at)?
