Hey guys i need some help, I recently got Western Digital Hard Drive, I installed and was recognised by the bios, but it wont show up in my computer folder, i currently run XP and from reading other forums some people were advice to run ms dos and fdisk, but how do i do that with xp? any help is appreciated

dont need to do that. Right click my computer, then go to manage. then choose disk managment and you should have an unformated disk(probably disk 1 if you only have one other drive which would be disk 0). You need to right click the disk 1 that is unpartitioned and unformated and create a partition. the defaults should be ok and set it to ntfs if thats what you would like. it should ask you to assign a drive letter, do which ever you like.
