Can someone tell me if there's a gear indicator that I could get for my bike ('96 750)? I would really like to know what gear I'm in at some times, like when I'm just messin' around and wanna pull one up on the freeway or something.

I boutght a digi gear, haven't installed it yet. It does what I want it to do. From what I have heard so far they aren't perfect.
They don't come with instructions for the 96-99 srads. So here you go courtesy of Metal Doc. graemlins/thumbup.gif He sent a wiring diagram if ya need it give a hollar.
digi red to zook green for ign 12 v
digi blue to zook blue/black for "n" light
digi yellow to zook yellow for tach
digi green to zook pink for speedo
I grounded mine to the front fairing support bracket with a small screw.

So does your bike have a cable tach? Mine does. That raises the cost a little, as well as the difficulty of installation, I'd say.
I really need a wiring diagram that I can read. I got one e-mailed to me a while back, but it was all messed up, cut up looking.
I need it to wire a new light for my low fuel indicator.
Please send me the diagram you have.

Thanks, and beware bad drivers.

I hope I can get this Digi to work correct. I want one but want to make sure it works on the SRAD's first. Most places talk of 2 different ones to order. Digi and Digi for cable tach..........? Is there a difference in the two. Looking at them I see none except for price. What I'm getting at is, which one did you get and did you get it to work.......?

The schematic is what a 98 gsxr would look like. I was under the impression that all of the SRADs (96-99) Used the same basic gauges, I could be wrong. Bikebandit doesn't even have fiches for you bike so I can't check.
I think there is a group buy going on for them still.

Just FYI: I've a Digi fitted to my GSXR600Y - no problems fitting it at all. Works very well. Sometimes gets the gear wrong (normally when I've made a sloppy change!) but corrects itself very quickly. My clocks are digital BTW, not cable.
