Hi guys,
I have 7/11 ('87 GSX-R750 H frame with a 1127 cc '90L or '91M [not sure] motor) and need to replace the emulsion tubes and needles or just overhaul the carbs (bad fuel consumption, opened bottom of float bowl, took out main jet and it is oval at the top, so assuming same for emulsion tubes). Problem is, I have no idea what size the emulsion tubes and needles are and I need to use the bike till I have the parts before I can do the work so no real chance to strip carb and look for sizes and numbers.
My question is, were these emulsion tubes the same for many of the models over the years or do they differ depending on the carb size? Also do they typically come in overhaul kits with O-rings etc or must everything be bought separately?
Last question, thinking ahead, once I blow up this motor (if that's possible!) would a Bandid 1200 motor fit in the same place the 1127 motor did? (I can get a Bandid 1200 motor for a good price.)
Thanks,
SM

Just remove the carbs and check for the emulsion tube number. Just take one out, i'm sure all four have the same number.

There is no kit that i know of that includes everything you listed. Just buy OEM orings and emusion tubes.

You can also post pics of your carbs , maybe someone can help you there.

I'm sure the bandit motor will fit, but check other thread about bracing that 750 frame for that big motor.

OK thanks rodriguez, I will open a carb, take some pics to post here and check out the number on the emulsion tube.
Do the needles that slide inside the tube also normally wear and need to be replaced?
