I tried this in the Red R section and no answer.
My friend just needs to know if this vin number is clear so he can try to get a title. He found the bike on a forclosed home.
js1gn77axt2101783 I know its a 96 bandit 600.

Good luck getting that question answered. You might be able to do a check to see if it's stolen but you'll have a harder time checking it for a lien. It might help to know the state and tag number associated with its last registration. Some states may provide that information for a fee; I'd asssume many will only provide it to the registered owner.

did you check the VIN Check in the sticky here?
Yes i did . But that is for bikes that had insurance. We don't have to have insurance here in Fl. So i think most bikes here will not show up there.

You might right.
Thanks again for the info.
Just finished talking to him. It was an eviction and the bike was put in front of the home, with the key and all. some one stole the rims in a hurry and left the spacers and axle on the ground.

That's where the system doesn't work around here.
I've tried doing that before here and they want to see the bike in person. I have tried to explain the the bike is hours away and that i want to check before i buy.
They just don't buy it.
