outllook express...or eudora...both can recieve mail but cant send....I am at work. It works at home..but not here...there is no firewall....Im thinking becouse the ISP here is differant , might have something to do with it.....what is the trick or setting to get around this

all outlook settings are right.....it works when connected directly to the ISPs provided dsl modem....but its broke now...so we switched to another ISP cable modem..thus the mail wont send on this one...

It's because their mail server doesn't allow relaying (you're on a different providers network now). Call up your current ISP and ask what their SMTP server is.

You can also see if you are able to VPN into your work's network and use regular smtp server.

You can also call your IT guy at work and see if they have SMTP auth configured on their mailserver in the DMZ.

yup worked...thanks...I knew the smtp from the other isp but it didnt click to put it in place next to the incoming from the 1st isp..... Im so dumb sometimes.......hard when you got to do it everyday....you forget the simple stuff.
