easy way to stop carbs from clogging or the seals rotting out. go to a place that sells race gas and get cam 2 purple or go to airport fueling company and get a couple gallons of A-100 AVIATION FUEL NOT JET FUEL JP-4. the reason for using these is because ordinary pump gas will seperate out between the gasoline and the ethanol as early as a couple of weeks. the ethanol is what clogs up carburetors. race gas and A-100 dont have ethanol in them, and will actually help preserve the seals inside the carbs. so all you do is run your bike till the pump gas is out of the carbs, then fill 2 gallons into the tank, just enough so the sending unit works, run it in neutral for a couple minutes then take it on a short ride so it gets through all the transition circuits and jets in the carbs. then hook up a battery tender and store it for winter :cheers race gas starts at $8 per gallon and A-100 starts at $5 a gallon.
