My desktop has shit the bed for the last time, I just completely wiped the hard drive, gave it a fresh install of windows XP and now less than a month and a half later issues upon issues. anywho I was lookin at the Dell Dimension 8300 series and was wondering if anybody had a problem with them?
It will have the following options pent 4with ht tech 3 GHZ w 800MHz FSB/1 MB cache, 512 dual channel DDR SD ram @400 MHz, 80 Gb 7200 rpm hd, dvd+cd burner, 128 MB ddr genforce fx 5200 graphics card w/tv out & Dvi, and a 5.1 integrated sound card.
I am not a comp wiz by any standard. Therefore, this is the system that I picked based on what I do with my desktop, photo shop, cd burning and light to moderate internet usage. For the price, I could not find anything close, esp when you factor in a 17" flat screen monitor.

So if anyone has had problems with the Dell 8300 series or just Dell themselves your info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance Grinch.

Besides the fact that it is pretty slow, and it cant handle multiple functions at once. currently I have lost the ability to right click on most things (no the mouse has nothing to do with it) also I have lost the ability to close down applications with the X in the upper right corner, the X is there but it will not work. The comp is 4 yrs old and it is a celeron 550MHZ
