ok I have been told that the bearing for motorbike motors are done by a colour code, I have a gsxr750 H motor, I have been told it a long stroke motor. where can i find this colour codes ????

For the six main bearing sets there are letter codes stamped into the rear of the crank cases ( it will read something like ABBABA ) and also corresponding letter codes on the crank (e.g BBBCBBA) . For the 4 big ends , there are more on the crank (e.g. 2321) and also on each rod (e.g 1 or 2 ).

You then use the tables in the manual to determine what bearings you need as a starting point , by using plastiguage you can determine whether you need to use alternative shells to get the correct clearances.
