I was wondering if ne could give me some hints on running my bike at the drag strip. I've got a 99 gsxr 600 with a yosh slip on, k&n jet kit, n a K&n filter. I've dragged some cars, but was wondering how to drag a bike.
I bet my friend that i could hit at least 11's =oP

I drag raced my 98 ZX6r for 2 years before I got my 98GSXR750. I miss the 600 days graemlins/crying.gif . The 600 is much easier to drag and also easier on the clutch.
I got mine into the low 11's with just a slip on and a jet kit . It was lowered with a strap on the front forks.
My advice is practice your launch on a back road with no traffic. I would hold the revs at 6500 rpm then slip the cluch out . Get all of your weight over the tank and hold on. Practice different rpms and you will find the sweet spot when the bike does not bogg or sky the front wheel.
I was very hard on my 600 and never had to replace the clutch so as long as you don't cook it you should be okay.
