Hi all, just got my l1 gsxr thou back from its 1st service. Not only was it sprayed with some bs they use to clean the fairing of their greasy hands. But i just realized I have black oil like even bitumen smelling crap around my lhs exhaust pipe and lhs belly pan near front sprocket.
Anyone have any idea as to what this may be? I feel like going to the service centre and getting realllll angry!! Grrr

That would be a yummy mixture of chain lube and dirt. Unless you don't lube your chain (ruining it in no time), it was there before.

It's chain lube still, it gets flung off when the chain makes that tight turn around the front sprocket. The shop will have lubed it for you (and you should too, clean and lube every 3-400 miles will make the chain last MUCH longer). You can get it off easily with alcohol, won't harm the fairings either. Just don't use it on the chain itself.
