I just brought a Ohlins rear suspension. I question is what difference should I feel?

It is simply a better shock than the OEM shock. It will improve handling and grip.Period.

I have learned that the first you should do, is set the correct sag as described in the Ohlins manual. Do both front and rear.
I have just installed both Ohlins rear and front suspension on my 1K and with out doubt the biggest difference was felt when replacing the shock.

After tips from this great site http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I have also learned that Ohlins stuff are super sensible to adjustments.

Star with the recommended settings in the manual and go from there. If your sag is correct and both front and rear work together this should be fine for everyday street riding. If you are not nhappy with this, test run and TAKE NOTES of the adjustments you do and how this affected the bike. If not you will only be confused.
You will soon find out that just acouple of clicks either way, especially to the low/high speed compression damping, makes a world of difference.

Good luck

A much lighter wallet and huge amounts of bling bling cred.

You can expect big props from people who know the stock suspension cant possible be good enough for you, but had to read the Ohlins manual to find out about static sag!

You can also expect, the bike, if set up properly, i.e. SAG ect...will feel like your riding on air.i.e. bumps are hardly noticable, unless it's set up stiff..but when ya go to the track...no more nose dives due to hard braking, and the bike is confidence inspiring..meaning it feels SO planted.. at least that's my take on it. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now that is a more broader and intelligent view

You want a more intelligent response:

You adjust your suspension to fix a problem. If the stock springs dont suit your weight then you replace those, if the shock lacks the appropriate adjustability to solve the problem you replace that.

If you dont even know if your static sag has been set properly dont go throwing money around. The stock components are probably more than capable providing a capable road setting.

The first step to fixxing your suspension problems is take i to an EXPERT, tell them what you dont like about how the bike rides, honestly explain how and where you ride and then ensure you understand why they suggest you change settings or components.

If you dont know what it should feel like, then why did you buy it?

Where did you get your shock from?
