Ok my shut off throttle cable is starting to show some wear. Looking like it is starting to frey and will need replacement soon images/icons/frown.gif
How hard are these to replace? I have a shop manual ect and haven't looked it up but was just wondering if you guys have done the change.
At least it is the shut off one so I don't have to worry a huge amount about getting stuck. Although constant throttle could be bad mkay.

Thanks

I use OEM becuase they are cheap (not as cheap as aftermarket), and after using a motionPro clutch cable that lasted not even half as long as the factory, I went make to OEM.

The cable comes with the black rubber cover... All you do is remove it from the TBs and the tube , then put the new ones on.. Very easy... I bet even you could do it Jon... lol images/icons/wink.gif

Piece of cake. I have done both of my cables. It should take less than half an hour to do.

Matt<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Do they come in a kit that has the outer rubber too? Or does it just come as a metal cable where I have to feed it through the rubber?

I have taken them off of the carb's before but never fully taken off the cables.

Also OEM or aftermarket?

If you can change the brake lines on your schwinn, you can handle the throttle cables. Its pretty simple.
