Hi,anybody out there knows if the standard rear shock for the 01gsxr1000 can fit into the 98gsxr750?

Why would you want to? Even if it did fit, there is a really good chance that the valving on it is all wrong for your bike.

Are you looking to buy one for a better ride? If so PM me and I can fill you in on a rebuild (new piston and valving, and a spring) that has a price you can not get anyplace else. And I can stand behind the fact that the 1000 shock would not even compair to it. images/icons/grin.gif
