When I ride I can't get the bike in neutral unless it's rolling around 10mph. If the bike is at a stand still. I might as well forget it it doesn't want to go into neutral. What should I do? images/icons/confused.gif

Sounds to me like the hub in the clutch assembly is worn, preventing the plates from seperating when you disengage the clutch. I had the same problems. Had to replace the inner hub and use a file to clean up the basket. I bet if you kill the motor in gear it easily pops into neutral.

Are you sure that you have everything on your clutch adjusted correctly? I know in the title you said it was tight, but how tight? Also what you can try to do, when the bike comes to a stop, burp the gas. this should to make the clutch slip more.

John<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It's just a bit more firm than it should be. I'll probably lube the cable, and check the clutch housing, even though I have no clue what to look for.

Again I think that sounds like the clutch is not disengaging. If the cable is tight or maybe too tight, its not gonna help the problem. Let us know what you find.

Lube the cable and then clean off the push rod... The push rod is behind the counter shaft cover.
