hi i had a 99 600 b4 i got me 2001 600. The electrics went real bad on me, they don't like our weather much. Check the switchgear but also the plugs in the loom on the left hand side of the bike, easier to remove fairing to check these. When i did mine, after only one winter, the connections were green and a lot of them were to loose. I cleaned them up as best as possible and popped the loose ones out of the plug and bent em a bit so they were tight. Then put some weird gooey waxxy type oil on plugs and reconnected. Didn't have a problem from then on and it did another winter fine. My brother brought the bike off me and he has had no probs since either.

When I first turn the key and put my lights on my indicators both come on very dim and my headlight too also my main beam light on the clocks comes
on very dim too and the horn doesnt work but as soon as i flick the main beam on and off everything is fine and it doesnt do it again until i come to start it again it seems like a dodgy earth but why would it suddenly work when i flick the main beam on

Anyone in the uk going to the butlins thing next friday
