Just wondered what size rear tire most of you guys run ? I currently have a 180 55 17 Battlax. Bike is a 92 with 5.5 rear wheel. I was looking at some 190 50 17 tires. It looks like it would probably be a tight squeeze if anyhting.

Not only would it be way too close, it would also affect your handling....not recommended, I'd stick with a 180.

My TLR had a 190/50 on the rear and was a bit slow in leaning,I switched to a 180/55 and the turning quickened up a bit plus the 55 gives you more tread life.just looked at my 87-750 it has a 180/55/17 on it also it hasnt been ridden since 93.and i put the 17s on it late 2001. it seems to keep sliding to the rear of the to-do list.just got it back on the bench two days ago.
