I notice I have a small gas leak on my 98 GSXR 750. I lifted my tank and noticed that there was gas on my fuel pump plate. I checked all the bolts to make sure they were tight and they were. Does this gasket have the tendency to break or crack? I’m on my way to the dealer to pick one up and wanted to make sure I'm buying the correct part.

I dunno if the 98's were covered in that. My first one went out when I was in SF on a road trip and I think the shop felt bad for me. When I came back the local dealer said it wasn't and I lucked out.
Like Katz said it is a real easy replacement. Look in the FAQ for the installation procedures.
I would at least try to get them to cover it though

I have a gasket that is still in good condition. I replaced mine when I changed the fuel filter but it didn't need to be changed. If you want it email me rob@gixxer.zzn.com and I'll send it to you.

I had the EXACT same problem on my 97 750. I am not the original owner of the bike, but since it was recalled is there any way I can get my money back from buying the part. (it was over $70) or am i SOL. it is easy to replace, and i have already done it, just wondering if i can get my money back.
