Hey guys Im new to the forum, and, as of recently, a first time buyer of a street bike (2004 gsxr 600). The previous owner said he has only ridden it a few times in the past year. His last oil change was about 1500 miles ago but since it has hardly been ridden lately Im not sure how long ago he changed it. The check oil light came on today. It only comes on while im in neutral. Will it harm the bike if i ride it for a couple of days before i change the oil?

The oil light only comes on if oil pressure is low. It may just have faulty wiring or a faulty pressure switch.

oil press low light....you either are low on oil. Or have a bad switch as said above. Don't ride it. Change the oil. Fill with correct amount.
