I bought my 2011 750 about 2 months ago. I wasn't as hot in Vegas then. I park it in the sun most of the day and I noticed its leaking gas from the drain tubes underneath. Mind you I have the all black one. The tank is hot as hell but the gas is cold coming out. Dealership says its normal....I bought a bike cover to see if that helps and no go...any ideas?
oh yeah...temperature in Vegas is 100+

Don't fill the tank so high. Gas expands when it gets hot and it is normal.

I generally don't fill it all the way up. In fact this morning it was dripping and it had maybe half a gallon in it. I hadn't seen this on my 09 600 which was black and orange.

In heat, gas expands but not to that extent. It should not expand enough with a half gallon to leak out the vent hose. I don't know what to tell you on that one.

I noticed this too with my black 2011 750 last w/e. I left it on the drive for about an hour and I noticed a small wet spot on the drive coming from one (only) of the tubes. I don't know which one but the pool wasn't gas - that would have evaporated but it was an oil (not water). I also noticed that there were hydrocarbon vapors coming out of the tube as well. I assumed that it was gas vapors from the heat and maybe pulled some heavier residue or even oil into the tube? Couldn't find anything in handbook which told me where both tubes come from? ANyway I put bike in garage and dripping went away? By the way I live in Mississippi so its hot as hell here too. :biggrin

Try storing it in a cooler place such as a garage and see if it stops. It seemed to work for the above poster. I have a black l1 750 and have not noticed this on mine yet. Mine sits outside but with a cover and it is hot as hell here as well.

Generally mine sits in the garage. Its only outside on fridays in direct sunlight. I also had the black oil residue the first time and lately its been gas. I put a trackside cover on it yesterday and the damn tank was on fire.

Which hose is dripping? The only drip I noticed was from the smaller of the two hoses clipped to the inside of the left lower fairing and that was oil. The PCV hose connects the crank case to the air box. If you have a little extra oil, it can be blown from the crank case into the air box via the PCV hose. I think the smaller of the two hoses is an air box drain and the minor drips I had were from a little extra oil in the system.
If it is a gasoline leak, it needs immediate attention. Gasoline vapors in a closed room like a garage could be deadly. If it is gasoline, it should have a strong smell.

My fz6 used to do that all the time, even if the tank was almost empty. The tank isn't complety sealed so as it gets hot the vapors expand and as the vapors travel down the hose and they condense resulting in the drip you see. It should only do it when its parked in the sun. You can carry a towel with you and drape it over the tank and it should stop.

I have the dealership calling Suzuki to find out if there is maybe an issue with the tank. Of the two drain hoses it's the larger hose. The worse case is I can't leave it in the direct sun anymore.
