hey to all you gixxer gurus....

anyone know what the rightmost tube coming out of the gas tank is for? i see that it's connected to the tank but it routes down by the swingarm then comes out right next to the header/exhaust section.

does this tube need to be routed or connected to something else?

thanks,

Der

breather tube, eh?
so chances are it just came loose while riding.
is it supposed to clip somewhere or does it just hang freely?

*Nods*

THere's 2 hoses coming from the back of the tank [breather & overflow] and they route by the rear shock, thru the swingarm and sits next to the engine oil window, by your right toe.

There should be a little "U" bracket on the frame there. Just stick them thru that, and have the ends pointing downwards.

Check that they're not kinked or restricted.

thanks for the advice guys...
i checked out the hoses and the overflow routes straight down through the swingarm and points down. only the breather is long enough to route to the bracket near the brake pedal. what's strange is, if i route the breather house down through the bracket i would have to expose it somewhat by going over the oil casing. i'm no grease monkey, but that doesn't look right to me...so for now, both hoses are down by the swing arm pointing down.
