Can anyone tell me how to rig up the stock steering damper to my '96 750?

I know it didn't come with one, but they go for cheap on eBay, and I could really use one. I just don't have the $$ right now for an expensive one, and the stock one would be better than none.

I ran into the same problem after a wreck. I had to replace the lower triple clamp. It seems that the mounting bolt on the triple clamp wasn't added till 98.

If you really want to use a stock damper. Then go get a 98-99 750 lower triple or get it mount added to the triple.
