I went to take my bike out today and it started up no problem but as soon as I tried shifting into first from neutral it clunked and died. Tried it again died again. Tried shifting into second same thing. Each time the bike jerked forward a little and died. Finally decided to outsmart the bike, put it into first and started it while in first. Started up and ran fine. Has been working fine since. I can even start it in neutral and shift into first now. Did this ever happen to anyone? It seems fine but I really don’t want to get stuck anywhere. Also the wiring harness that plugs into the gauges is very beat up (2 wires even fell out of it). Can I replace just that harness or do I need to replace the whole thing. Any part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Dmitry

Im sure u've noticed, with the side stand down, the engine will cut out as soon as u kick it into gear from neutral.

So, im thinking, the mechanism and\or wiring may be faulty.

AS it's happened once and hasnt occured since, it could be just that. images/icons/wink.gif

Check to see if the sensor for the kickstand is tight. Mine came loose on me once. I tighten it and it came lose a week or so later so I got mad and cut it out.

If anyone has a wiring diagram for 97-00 600 or 96-99 750 please e-mail then to me so I can post them up on my site.
