Hey guys, I was wondering if you have ever heard of the throttle stuttering around 2000-4000rpms in first. Basicly, on the take off the bike stutters and there isn't a steady throttle. Is this a valve problem in the carbs? Thanks

Its got 13000 Miles. No idea for mods other than what is visible. Picked it up at Repo Car Dealer Auction. Got a V+H slip on, and as far as I can tell, stock air box and everything else.

Valve adjustment is called for at 15K miles... If they rode it hard, you might need it....

Also things to look for, jet kit, ignition advancer would help. Maybe a K&N filter.

Most of the 600s I have seen with this studer have a jetting problem... I think that if you use a half step shim on the neddle it should help.

Thanks GSXR-Freak. I am bringing it in to a friend for a complete preseason inspection. Askin him to take a look at that and including your advice. I guess everyone is right when they say u always have got the answers

Check the air idle screws. After I jetted mine it was doing the same thing. After some playing around with them it smoothed out.
